1. The story of Bala Nath:

The Fort was built in the land of Sage Bala Nath. He granted permission to King Madho Singh to built the fort under the condition that its shadow should not fall over the sage's house.

But later the King expanded the fort without realizing the sage's condition and the shadow of the fort started reaching the saint's house. Since then the Fort has been cursed.

According to the locals, Princess Ratnavati was very beautiful. There was a 'tantrik'/megician, who wanted to get her. He tried all his ways to get her. Once he put a spell in the oil of Princess. The oil smell could attract the Princess towards Tantrik.

The Princess caught this trick and threw away the oil in a big boulder. And he was crushed under that big boulder.

It is said that just before he died, he cursed the place and since then the place is haunted and cursed. Every house inside the area is roofless. According to locals, it is impossible to build roofs.
