Rani Talab History?

Rani Ka Talab is a historic lake located in the city of Rewa, in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The lake was built in the 17th century by the queen of Rewa, Rani Baiju, who was the wife of Maharaja Vikramaditya Singh.

According to the locals, it is believed that the lake was first dug by the Lavana Tribe people, and on Rakshabandhan occasion when Queen visited this lake and tied rakhi to the Lavana Tribe people, they offered this lake to Queen and from that time this lake got its name as Rani ka Talab.

Popular activities to do at Rani Talab?

1. There is a beautiful Kali Mata Temple located at the bank of the lake where you can offer your prayers and it is one of the popular temples in Rewa.

2. You can also do boating and which will cost you around 5O INR per person and the timing of the boating is morning 8 AM to 6PM evening.
