About Garh Ganesh Temple
Garh Ganesh Temple is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in Jaipur. The temple is located on a hilltop in the eastern part of the city and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is believed to be over 800 years old and has a fascinating history attached to it.
It is said that the idol of Lord Ganesha in the temple was found by a shepherd who saw a bright light emanating from a nearby hill. When he dug the area, he found the idol and built a small temple at the site. Later, the royal family of Jaipur rebuilt and expanded the temple.
The temple is accessible through a flight of stairs, offering a panoramic view of the city from the top. The trek starts from the parking area of this temple which is located near Gaitore Ki Chattariyan.

Garh Ganesh to Hathni Kund Trekking Route |
What is the trekking route of Garh Ganesh to Hathni Kund Trek?
The trekking route of Garh Ganesh to Hahtni Kund is a combination of two treks:
1. Garh Ganesh to Charan Mandir Trek
2. Charan Mandir to Hathni Kund Trek
Both treks I have already covered this previously and their trekking route is the same for this trek.
The trek starts from Gaitor ki Chhatariyan parking and from there you can climb the stairs to reach the Garh Ganesh temple.
After reaching Garh Ganesh temple follow the trail which goes towards the Doordarshan broadcast tower. As you follow the trail, you have to do a little hike and the path passes through dense forest and large bushes.
The trail is clearly visible so keep following the trail and it will take you to the Doordarshan broadcast center from there Charan Mandir is clearly visible.
After reaching Charan Mandir, take a trek route that goes from the front of Charan Mandir and the trail will take you through some beautiful lush green Nahargarh valleys. After walking on the trail for half n hour you will reach the Hathni Kund waterfall.

My Experience of Garh Ganesh to Hathni Kund Trek?
Jaipur is heaven for trek lovers and being a nature lover I have covered most of the hidden and offbeat treks in Jaipur. So coming up with the new trek is not so easy so we decided to cover two treks (Garh Ganesh to Charan Mandir trek and Charan Mandir to Hathni Kund trek) in one go.
I checked with my friends to go on this trek and they all agreed to accompany me. On Sunday we all gather at the trek starting point of the Garh Ganesh Temple Parking area early in the morning.
we started our trek quite early as we don't want to miss the early sunrise from the top of Garh Ganesh temple. We started climbing the stairs and after covering a few stairs we started to feel the pain as the stairs are quite steep.
On our way to Charan Mandir from Garh Ganesh Temple |
Alongside the stairs, we sat on chairs made of cement, to take some rest and drink some water before continuing on the trek. The view already looked beautiful as we could see the clear view of Gaitor ki Chhatariyan and Jaipur city.
We continued on our journey and in half n hour we reached the top of Garh Ganesh temple. But we could not spot the sunrise due to the cloudy weather on that day. But the good thing is we are not feeling exhausted due to sweat. As the weather is so pleasant we are enjoying the trek.
We moved ahead from Garh Ganesh temple to the route which is going in the Doordarshan broadcast tower, which we clearly see from our trail, so we just followed the trail and it straightaway took us to the Doordarshan broadcast tower,

The trek route is well-marked, and there are several resting points along the way. The initial descent is quite steep, and one needs to be careful while walking on the rocky trail. However, the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys make it worth the effort.
After a while, we reached Charan Mandir and from there the trail to Hathni Kund is very clear. The trail becomes more comfortable, and the forest cover becomes denser. The trek passes through a rocky trail, which is making it difficult to walk so it is recommended to wear good pair of shoes.

After a brief stop alongside the trail, the trek continues towards Hathni Kund, and after covering almost 8 Kilometers we reached our final viewpoint which is the Hathni Kund. To our surprise, there are many fellow trekkers already there and enjoying their moment.
Hathni Kund Viewpoint |
The Hathni Kund waterfall got dried as there is no water in the summer, we could see the waterfall only in the monsoon season. We all sat at one of the viewpoints from where we could see the perfect view of Nahargarh Valley and Hathni Kund temple. We had some tea and snacks and we did photography to capture the beauty of this place.
